Bohemian Interiors

Bohemian is often described as “A person, possibly an artist or writer, who lives and acts free of regard for conventional rules and practices”. Not much differs when a Bohemian soul decorates their home. Bohemian interiors are eclectic. They do not follow rules, fads or fashions. Bohemian homes are inspired by world travel and decorated with objects from afar. A true bohemian does not worry about purchasing expensive items, but rather items with character. The homes are often colorful, whimsical and full of vintage elements. Bohemian homes have soul.

The Organic Element

I love nature – the ocean, the sand between my toes, the sunshine on my face, the smell of trees, the chirping of birds. Mother nature is truly glorious. The weather was warm and sunny this weekend and I was fortunate to be able to spend a great deal of time outdoors.

Enjoying nature this past weekend made me realize how important it is to add the organic element to our Interiors. There is such a thing as too much upholstery, carpeting, drapery, etc. As in everything in life there has to be a balance. Keeping it simple sometimes is better. Here are a few interiors I feel meet that sweet balance…
